Dave and others,
I need 28 volts at 50 amps plus to run my GO-9 transmitter. The 800-1
motor-inverter draws a lot when the transmitter is on the air.
I've been told that some military field type power supplies are now coming
on the surplus market in some quantity, and should be found on "the auction
place". Does anyone know the number/name of these things?
They are painted military color, of course, and run on 115-120 volts ac 60
cycles. At Dayton two years ago, I saw some offered for $200 each. It
seemed like way too much and that's why I don't have one yet.
The Power Supply 4763A used in the GRC106 seems to be big enough. Also a
thing called the PP-1104C may do well. Anyone know the current rating on
these?
