[ARC5] AN/ARC-4 useage

Here are the photo sources of radar and radio intallations in PT Boats 
that I have so far if anyone is interested:
  PT Boats at War,World War II to Vietnam by Norman Palmar and Samuel 
Morison,softcover,MBI Publishing Co.,ISBN-0-7603-0499-8.This book shows 
only a close up of the scope section of the  the SO series radar.
  American PT Boats in World War II by Victor Chun,hardcover,Schiffer 
Publishing Ltd.,ISBN-0-7643-0256-6.This book shows two configurations 
of the TCS.One is a side by side set up with the Tx to the right and 
the Rx on the left of a "horseshoe" table with the key in between.The 
AN/ARC-4 is above and to the right of the TCS Tx and in a little 
"cubby".(not water proof).On the bulkhead are mounted various boxes 
including the antenna loading coil for the TCS.I do not recognize any 
of the other boxes.This photo is coutesy of Robert Ferril.
  On the same page is a photo of a TCS set in the verticle mount 
configuration.Tx on top of RX with the antenna loading coil on the 
bulkhead above.
  Also on this page is a photo of the radar,the SO, and the TCS receiver 
of the first photo to the right of it.This shows both decks of the 
radar set.All electronics are in the "Chart Room".This photo is also 
courtesy of Robert Ferril.
  You should see the pictures of the Engines..........!!!!!Gawd! all 
hobbies in one craft!I did not see any deep water fish poles or 
fighting chairs and harness but I'd bet some Boats had them stashed 
away!
