That is correct.
Only 50 sets of RAT-1 were produced,
with two different models of receiver per set, unless there
was some unknown second run of them. No examples
of receivers with serial numbers over 50, nor
dynamotors/remote boxes with serial numbers over 100 have surfaced
(accessories were numbered seperately from the receivers).
Same with the 12-volt version, RAT,
which also had two different model receivers per set.
As far as is known, less than 10 of each model have survived,
making them authentically "rare," IMHO.
If 38 full RAT-1s were released in the San Fran area,
some of our northern Cal folks might want to do
some poking around.
