[ARC5] Glide Slope Receiver Used with the ARN-30 - And the "C-40 System" Again

Does anyone have any idea what it was or they were? The manuals all
say that the glide slope needle is connected to external equipment but
doesn't say what it is. Since I would like to have an ARN-30* as part
of my display, I'd like to include the glide slope receiver as well.

The replacement for the C-40 control box I have (R-2001, mentioned in
a previous message) is dated 1960. Since the only mention of an FM
for use with this CB was "such as the SCR-619" in the manuals I have,
I have to wonder if that was still in use or if it had been replaced
with something on the order of the ARC-44 with it's mate, the ARC-45,
and all the stuff that went with them. I think I can safely assume
(Yes, I'm aware of the implications of the word "assume") this system
was in use at least into the early parts of the Viet Nam war and the
BC-1335 was a bit less than versatile for the role by then.

And finally, anyone happen to have a spare ARN-59 laying about they don't want?

BEst regards,

Michael, K3MXO/KH6
