Jay is correct. The jumper in the adapter in the receivers is in the
low-voltage line. Having said that, There are different connections in
the front adapter area. While the RAT, RAV, ARA, SCR-274-N and early
AN/ARC-5 receivers seem to be the same, with the following connections:
1 - sensitivity control
2 - ground
3 - blank
4 - tel or audio output to instrument landing equipment
5 - cw osc. shutoff
6 - low voltage to filaments and dynamotor
7 - low voltage from supply
8 - B+ voltage
my experience is that some of the Western Electric SCR-274-N
receivers did not have all the connections in the adapter, in fact did
not have all the pins.
The late AN/ARC-5 (R-111 and R-113) receivers had no connections to
pins 3, 4, 5, and 8.
