But it would not be "period".The correct (INMHO) phone jack would be
those butchered out of racks and modulators with the "spline"
circumferance nut I guess you'ld call it,not the common "hex" nut.Now
before the flames begin,I must say that I do not advocate the
destruction of good equipment for the sake of one part.I've seen it
done too many times and have done it myself in my mispent youth,(but
from which I gained knowledge).
If you are like me, you are a "bottom feeder" at swap meets. You dig
endlessly in junque boxes under the tables "panning for gold" and you
pay pennies or quarters for a handful of odds and ends that may turn
out to be the crowning pieces that complete an ever endless
project.I've found many "ARC-5" (generic term) pieces that way. There is
no instant gratification in this hobby of ours.It is a constant search
and rescue operation. One needs to keep an ever expanding mental
inventory of what one has and then another mental catalog of what one
needs.
I have several of the "local" adapters, two FT-260-A, one of which has
a busted mica insulator in back and another one with the -260-
scratched out and a toggle type switch instead of the rotary type, with
the engraving in a verticl patern.I also have two "after market"
adapters, one complete, the othe needs to be wired up.The "after market"
ones have the phone jacks.
 Sorry,none for sale.
 Good luck,
                Jay

These days, the mini phone jacks (3.5 mm)
would make a far less obtrusive addition to
any front panel than the old 1/4" jacks.

There were also commercially made "adapters" (for ham conversions) that
have a
phone jack as well as the gain control and mode switch. The ones I have
seen use
the switch and knobs off the military control boxes and the flat front
plate is
silk screened black. These show up from time to time.

73 and have a good weekend.
