Brian,
Junction boxes don't normally have any controls (I'm sure there must be an
exceptions somewhere). But all of the Command Set receiver control boxes have a
pot for adjusting the output level of the receiver it is connected to. It is
actually across the RF gain line.
Interphone amps usually (I can't think of an exception) have a level adjust
pot, in most cases meant to be adjusted at installation. So most are
screwdriver adjust and some are not accessible without removing covers.
Interphone station boxes usually have an audio level adjust pot. BC-606 is
good example.
