If the driver has turned in a screw even once, it needs to be cut back past
the shiny area. This is best done with the fine stone on a bench grinder,
using the steady rest set so that the newly ground end will be perpendicular to
the length. Rotate the driver as you feed it very lightly into the wheel.
Soaking the set screw and hole with Kroil for a day may help. Certainly
won't hurt.
