May I ask your indulgence in my somewhat off-topic querry. I have searched the web
to no avail for information on a vintage piece of avionics equipment. My hope is that
some of you folks might be able to shed some light on it, vintage, history, etc.

It is a Transmitter made by Narco.
The Front Panel Labeling reads:
VHF Transmitter
NARCO
National Aeronautical Corporation
Wings Field Ambler, Pa.
Model VTA-2

The Front Panel consists of but one Rotary Switch with 8 Crystal Controlled
Channels and Interphone positions. Plus a Neon Lamp, RF Output Indicator.
The unit measures 5"D. x 3 1/4"H. x 2 7/8"W.
Tube lineup: 2-5763's and a 12AU6.

The Power Supply, Modulator and Receiver were obviously seperate unit.

I'm thinking that it is early to mid 1950's vintage, but that's just a WAS !

I've found no web sites that are geared to early avionics but for this one, and
the NARCO web-site was of no particular help.
