[ARC5] Power adapters

Okay, I'm struggling here with a mental block the size
of a Hawaiian family BBQ.

I know that the power adapter for the front of command
receivers was used with the ARR-1 but what else was it
used with?  Or, more accurately, were they used with. 
What brought this question to mind was that the B+
connection needed in the R-22's front connector is
present in all the receivers and I couldn't think of
any good reason for that.

What sucks is that I know that as soon as I hit
"send", I'll remember some application that required a
connection to the front end of the receivers beyond
the ARR-1 and that I'll feel like a total idiot for
asking.  But I'm used to that feeling so here goes ...
