[ARC5] Low B+ for BC-454-B?

Hi Bob, Dave and others,

Many thanks to all for the fast responses. Particularly interested to hear
that the RXs will work on as low as 24V!

I hooked-up the 50V supply and, with a suitable filter on the bridge
rectifier output, got good AF levels out on a pair of R14 phones and very
low 50Hz mains hum. The B+ is actually 67 Volts on load with full gain and
the BFO on, I used a resistor splitter to provide lower screen volts but
there was no difference with the screens at full B+ or dropped to half B+.
The Rx is unmodified apart from replacing a few caps when I first got it off
eBay last year.

Right, now to build a control box and hook up the BC-442 antenna relay!
