[ARC5] Oh, Brother...

As a little sideline to Gordon's comments; I grew up in a tiny town next to Caldwell N.J. and my high school was in West Caldwell. Our bus route took us by Caldwell-Wright.At that time there was a B-25 sitting on the field and under the cockpit windscreen was written"The Battle of Britain".All the plexiglass "blisters" were optically clear bubbles for the cameras.
I had an opportunity to get a close look and stood up in the open bomb bay to look around.Just forward of the bay was a Bendix MN-26 RDF but that was all I could see for radios.
When in grade school, there was a B-17 at Caldwell-Wright that had 5 engines. The 5th being the test sample.Pretty cool looking too.

All:
I have scanned some interesting, I think. Aircraft Radio Corp.
documents from my files, including a 50 share stock certificate (the
corporate seal is dated 1924), a letter from Jimmy Doolittle to A.R.C
President L.M. Hull of 9/17/1932, another Doolittle letter to A.W.
Parkes of 10/26/1932, and a third Doolittle letter of 3/28/1932 to Luff
Meredith,. the A.R.C. pilot, with an 11/12/1931 letter from Tom C. Rives
of the Signal Corps to Hull. Also A.R.C. and RFL letterheads and a 50
share stock certificate.
Caldwell, N.J., was the Curtiss-Wright plant's field.
I think these are revealing as they show the degree of intimacy
between Doolittle and the folks at Boonton.
