I think you can put your money on it being an ARA (CBY-46145).
Another feature of the R-24 versus the ARA and SCR-274-N versions is that it (like all other AN/ARC-5 receivers) is calibrated on the dial in "MC" vs. "KC."
BTW, the only "stabilized" command set receivers (S in circle) were the MF/HF AN/ARC-5 "communications" receivers (R-25, -26, -27/ARC-5). AFAIK, the "navigation" receivers (R-23, -23A, -24, and -148/ARC-5) were not so stabilized and never bear the "S in circle" stamp on the front. These receivers would almost never be "fixed tuned" as was common for the communications receivers, so stability wasn't so critical. They didn't even come with a tuning key/spline cap under the tube cover, as was standard for the R-25, -26, and -27.
