well, at least it has the shield that tends to keep fingers from the hot pins. This style of connector was a common Army and Navy item on the pre-ARC/5 (SCR274N, RAT, etc.) equipment. Though A.R.C. tried to make their style a standard, it only made it on to a few non A.R.C. items and was not adopted as an A-N standard nor by ARINC as far as I know. - Gordon
