Actually, it depends more on what they were used in.  Most US military sets 
used 2, 4, 6 or 24 volt ones.  But the VB-5 was 12 volt.  And scarce, as it 
only had one application.  The VB-13 was 12 volt and moderately scarce (also only 
one application).  I can't think of another one.  If it's 4-pin, it's almost 
certainly civilian.
