Did A.R.C. make those cool hand-calibrated capacitors in the early
runs of receivers and transmitters- the ones they made with
sheets of mica and foil in a "stack" with a bolt through the
center, which they "hand-cranked" until they got the right value?
I always get a smile when I see one of those.
