I have an SCR-274N transmitter that has the serial number of 41-6084 inscribed on it. Accordingly it belonged to a P-47C-RE that was sent to Ponca City, Ok. in 1945 i think it said. I noticed numerous aircraft that ended up there.. I don't know if that was a reclamation point or not as the only ones i know about are Walnut Creek, Arkansas, Kingman, AZ, Eagle Pass, Texas (Rattlesnake country) and Goodyear, AZ. The latter of which has a large pile of slag still there.

Course a lot of aircraft met their fate overseas where they were setting after the war. Wonder if the P-51's are still cooking bacon in germany?
