Mike! Don't you know that anything with wires in it made for the military from 1918 to 1970 qualifies as an "ARC-5" something or other for the purpose of auction descriptions? ATA/ARA, SCR-274-N, SCR-183/283, SCR-178, BC-14, RT-66/GRC, RT-524, ARN-30, DU-1, ARR-5, TBY, BC-221, ARN-6, ARC-27, PRC-77, etc. etc. ... sounds like "ARC-5" to me! At least that's the flavor of many ebay descriptions.

Excellent method! I sure do like that much better. It's just as quick to paste in the whole URL as it is to just copy the auction number. Then, one click and a reader can see what is being pointed out. Just giving the auction number requires several steps, slow enough under the best connection, but very slow for us dinosaurs still using dial-up modems. Thus, I seldom look at a referenced auction unless the complete URL is cited.
