Larry,
I recall the last couple on ebay that were not ham-hacked abominations went
for well over $2000. The only transmitter of that type which I have is a
T-16/ARC-5 in new condition, which I got at an Ohio hamfest for $10 twenty
years ago. (Neither I nor the seller knew that they were rare.) Ignoring
ebay price runaways, I'd say that any decent original T-15, -16, or -17
ought to bring $500 now-a-days, or more, since the buyer could turn around
and dump it on ebay for a quick profit. They almost always seem to be in
new condition.
A lot of people used to hack the much more common T-18 or the ATA equivalent
down to the 160m band. These show up frequently at hamfests and on ebay
cheap.
