[ARC5] Command Sets and Interference

Hi Group,

I replied to Dave's last message and forgot to change the send to address
from his to the group. Here is the jist of what I sent him.

I found that the unun I had wound was arcing. I had noticed before that it
was getting very warm so I figured something was up. I can now get 50 watts
CW from the '459 and 40 watts from the '696 into a 50 ohm dummy load. I
connected my roof dipole to the setup through my MFJ antenna tuner. I can
get a match of 1.3:1 before my tuner starts arcing. I should be able to get
a better match if I had a heftier tuner. I don't have my data in front of
me but if I remember right the antenna current for the '459 was 3.5 and 2.5
for the '696. This is with the vac cap in series with the transmitters.
The TVI problem seems to be resolved. I am getting no worse interference
than with my Icom 751 into the same antenna. I get a little bit of snow in
the video of only channel 5 instead of washing out the picture.

73,

Sean
