[ARC5] Command Sets and Interference

Here is some more info on my situation:

Transmitting setup consists of: BC-442 with vacuum cap, BC-696, BC-459,
BC-456 with DM-33, operating on 24VDC from a regulated supply good for 15A.
Transmitters are in racks and all correct connectors are used. The
transmitters and modulator have had all of their bathtub capacitors rebuilt.

My ground lead is now a length of braided strap running about 2 feet from
the racks to the water pipe where it comes into the basement. I am using a
33-foot length of #18 standed wire for an antenna.

I have polished all of the silver contacts on the antenna relay and the
roller inductor of both transmitters.

I checked the television channels on which I am getting interference. It
appears that the only channel affected is channel 5. Only the video is
being affected. This is when using the BC-459. The BC-696 does not
generate any appreciable (or should it be unappreciable) interference. It
is an over the air signal. I have the antenna strung along the bottom of
the upstairs floor joists in the basement. It is positioned about
90-degrees from the direction that the TV antenna is pointed on the roof.

I have probably forgot to mention something that was asked for.

Sean
