I had, prior to this thread, never noticed that the unit that the eBay
MT-622 rack accomodates, the RT-122/APW-11, had this small SCR-274-N
transmitter design connection. I just compared my RT-122 to the dimensions
of a SCR-274 transmitter rack FT-226. The connector on the RT-122 appears
to be practically the same as the connector on a BC-457 transmitter, except
rotated by 180 degrees. Otherwise, it would mate exactly with the connector
on the FT-226 except for two orientation pins on the back of the RT-122
which prevent full insertion into the FT-226. The RT-122 is exactly the
same length and width as the BC-457, and its front panel mount retaining
pins match the brackets on the FT-226.

I don't know what the RT-122/APW-11 was supposed to do. I guessed that it
was likely some sort of airborne radar beacon. I seem to remember it being
on the list of equipment carried on mid-1950s B-57 Canberra bombers. My
unit is marked USAF property and has a depot stamp date of January 1959 on
it. They show up at hamfests and ebay and you can't hardly give them away,
even though they have 17 tubes in them.
