One difference between a DM-32 and a D-10 / DY-86:
The D-10 is often missing the hash suppresser cap across
the dyno brushes. Don't remember if it's both ends or
just the low-voltage end that's missing it.

Lots of swapping did take place. I have a couple of D-10s
that are obviously re-nomenclatured. In fact, I have one
that has a double-stamped plate; one side says "D-10"
and the other says "DM-32."

Don't feel alone; I'm absolutely picky
about the nomen plates being "right,"
to the point that I won't acquire a set that doesn't have one.
After all: An ultimately-rare RAV set is exactly like a first run ARA,
save for the nomen plate.
Without that plate, it's just another ARA in my book.
