There are 3 different xtal types shown in Air Force T.O. 12R2-4-1-2
Ken. One is the CR-1 (ARC-10714), ARC-14958 and an HC-6 style
ARC-17142. This unit will not accept the CR-1 type xtals. Different
dimensions but it does take HC-6 style. Plugged in one of my spare
extras from other types of equipment.

I do have a manual from Aircraft Radio Corp. concerning the ARC Type
T-22 VHF transmitter and it does specify the HC-6 (ARC-20456) style xtal
which are electrically equivalent to the MIL CR-18/U xtals and are
sealed in the HC-6/U holders which uses a multiplier then of 8 for the
118-127 mc range of coverage.

On page 3, Section 2: The T-22 may be used with other units of the ARC
Type 12 Equpment to form a twenty-channel VHF transmitting-receiving
syste. Additional channels may be provided by installing another T-22,
or a 5 channel ARC Type T-11B or T-13A Transmitter, or a ten-channel ARC
Type T-21 or T-23 Transmitter. So now i'm wondering if it has the same
freq coverage (118-127 mc) as the T-22?

This is also part of a package consisting of the R-13B or R-32
Receivers These are part of the R-15D or 15E VHF Nav Equipments

The T-21 is a small like the T-13 transmitter but the T-22 looks almost
like it would fit into a command set rack beings as it is 11 21/32
inches long and 4 3/4 inches wide.

The T-22 only covers the range of 118-127 Mc.

Somewhere i've seen the T-21 designation in a manual but darned if i can
come up with it now. Unless its buried in what i have someplace
obscurely!!!!
