The one I am concerned about is on a BC-457-A. The markings are either engraved or hot
stamped into the plastic and then filled with a white lacquer stick or some such. The
scale is 0 to 20, with numerals at 5, 10, and 15. I don't think calibration is an
issue, since it's just a logging dial.
It seems like this is a pretty common problem, and I'd like to find someone set up to
make them, or, failing that, getting enough takers for a modest group order. I have
seen people offering repro dials for other radios on some lists. Seems like this is an
easy one.
