If you think that is bad, how about all the flights during WW2 by the
group that was part of the SOE. (Special Operations Executive). They did
many many secret night flights. Even the pilots log books were altered
to read "testing engine after maintenance." Some of those flights were
14 hours. A little long for an engine test. :-) Recorded history is
a record of only what they want us to know about. Good thing some of
those pilots are still with us to tell us what was going on.
Sorry for the off topic as far as radio gear is concerned, but at least it
follows the heading of "History Ain't, sometimes."
