[ARC5] Fw: Screw failure

Here here! 
 One of my great uncles (maternal grandfather's brother)  was a PT boat
commander in WWII.I was too young and he died before I could ask,but I'll
bet he had a good tale or two to tell!
 I do have a working TCS set though.I did a bit of inquireing and found out
that the antenna on the various boats was a one piece  steel rod.I don't
think I'll find one at the 'flea' tomorrow though!
  As to the screws I have seen this failure on many command sets over the
years and the majority have been on transmitters.Now I have only a small
statistical sample to go by but I think it is as significant as the 3
section bypass cap that has a high fail rate. 
 Food for thought...?
