I've got a Collins 18S-4 radio set chock-a-block full with HF AM
frequency crystal controlled channels (20) covering 2 to 15 mcs. The
18S is a commercial set for larger aircraft used in the 1950s and early
1960s covering 2 to 18 mcs (there was a nearly identical military
version called the AN/ARC-59 using the RT-380/ARC unit). I assume the
frequencies in my set were ARINC frequencies for the most part, although
my set contains a channel on the common-use 3023.5 kcs, and 2182 kcs as
well.

Commercial airborne HF USB is still to be found all over the HF spectrum
(example: 3016, 5550, 5598, 5649, 8879, 8906, 13306 kHz) under the very
active Aeronautical Radio, Inc. (ARINC) organization.
