[ARC5] Power supply suggestions

I am against cutting anything up, actually. I did modify one BC-455-B in college
under the supervision of my professor. It's a great little radio and I've enjoyed
many a good hour of listening with it. It sits in my office at home, where I still
fire it up.
The good part of my bad deed is that it gave me a great appreciation for these
little rigs and launched my interest in building a complete station(okay, two
complete stations). The only reason I asked about the 12v conversion was from
having read somewhere that it was a 'no holes, no cutting' modification, easily
reversible. I've even located a 12v modulator dynamotor, now I just need to find
the 12v modulator. Mainly, I was just looking for an easier way to power up and
demonstrate the receivers that didn't require a 24-28v supply just yet.
Call me impatient, but no longer fat-fingered...
