Thanks for writing.  
There is *no* fryable asbestos in any part of these radio sets,
I have many of them.  Sheet asbestos can be found in a few
consumer sets of the 30s to 50s, but not in these sets.

There *may*- and I stress *may*-  be some sheet asbestos in
the dynamotors.  There are some small cloth-looking insulating 
pieces and I won't swear they don't have asbestos in them,
but they are shellaced in place and harmless.
You must refurbish the dynamotors to get the set running in original
condition.  I have worked on dozens of them without any of the 
insulating cloth being disturbed.
