Here is some more info on this unit. Does anyone know what this was part of
or what it was used for? I would appreciate any help.
The front has a metal plate bearing the following:
AUDIO AMPLIFIER
TYPE F-13 A
SERIAL #566 2.5 LBS.
Aircraft Radio Corporation
BOONTON NEW JERSEY
There is a ruby red and silver ARC logo button on the front which has been
spray painted over with orange paint. Below is a 12-pin male connector with
the miniature banana pins like on "ARC-5" gear. This junction is labelled
J-102. To the right of that is a trim pot with locking nut labelled "LEVEL
SET". At the very bottom are two large slide and lock fasteners typical of
"ARC-5" gear only larger. No other markings appear anywhere on outside of
unit.
Dimension are 4 5/8" high, 4 3/4" wide and 6 3/4" deep. The back shelf
presumably for the dynamotor is 3 1/4" deep and the entire lower compartment
is about 2" high. The back shelf has four shock mounts and a three pin
connector as if for a dynamotor.
The circuit is very simple. A signal from J-102 pin E goes to the trim pot.
Its wiper goes to a transformer T101 that outputs to two resistor voltage
dividers to pins 1 of the two tubes. Their outputs drive the output
transformer T102 in push-pull. The output transformer has four output
connections (two midway taps).
