[ARC5] SCR 274 N.

Hi All,
Just thought some may be interested, I posted this to another list and =
thought I should send it here also.
A friend (Nick Watling, VK4YT) and I recently put on a display and =
working demonstration of SCR 274 N gear at the "Wake" for a cancelled =
Warbirds Airshow near here. Many contacts were made on the 80 and 40 =
metre bands including a CW contact with the radio room VK4RAN on the =
museum ship HMAS Diamantina in Brisbane Qld. about 1500 klms from here. =
In use were 3Rx's, 2 Tx's the BC456 Modulator, all setup on the racks =
and running off their dyno's from a 28V supply, antenna just a long "end =
fed" 20' off the ground. It also gave us an opportunity to try out 4 BC =
611's with their new locally designed and built HT switch mode power =
supplies, good contacts over 3 klms on 80 mtrs back to the SCR 274 N.=20
