[ARC5] Command tx mods

I found a drawing put out by Lockheed Aircraft back in 1947 that
modified the BC-458A and BC-696A transmitter master oscillator stage to
make it a crystal controlled transmitter.  The BC-696A had a 3105 kc
xtal and the BC-696A had a 6210 Kc xtal installed.  ANyone ever find one
of these?  Part of the mod was to drill a hole in the top of the
transmitter case to provide access to adjustment T-53.  Wonder if we
haven't found some of these transmitters and thinking the hole on top
was a "ham" mod, passed them by.  Never aware that maybe it was a
Lockheed (or related contractor?) modified radio.
