[Antennas] Carolina Windham

I have a 80m Carolina windham up for some time now. Its got I think about
20-25 feed of 300 ohm ladder line from its feed point, and it connects to a
300W 4:1 balun and the other side of the balun is a
50 ohm S0-239 connector where I have coax eventually finding its way to the
rigg.

I have a legal limit balun, but its heavier and would require some kind of
mounting that theres no room for. The 300W balun is light so its no problem
for the ladder line and coax to support it.

I am thinking of mounting the balun inside the room where I have the rigg,
and adding in a section of 300 ohm ladder line to make up for the removed
coax, which is about 50 feet.

I know this lesser length of coax will improve loss, but I believe the
Windham uses the section of the ladder line as part of the radiator? Would I
be ruining the concept of the antenna by doing this?
