I had a similar issue in a mobile installation a few vehicles ago.  I 
determined the frequency range used  for each antenna (VHF and UHF), then 
figured where voltage and current was minimal for each one based on 
wavelengths, drew this out on paper, verified with a field strength meter, 
then placed each antenna in the "cold spot" of the other one to minimize 
interaction.  Since the region of less RF varied by frequency which on these 
bands can be tens of MHz, there was only one area where it was "perfect" but 
interaction within this "fussy circle of lesser RF" was much less than just 
throwing a bunch of antennas together.  Worked great!
