I apologize if this offtopic story offends
I was a fulltime firefighter, but we also responded upon callbacks for
major events.
I installed an engine heater in my pickup, it was a hot water device
that circulated hot water through the engine on cold winter nights.
I had a long extension cord.
One night, we got a call to respond, I jumped out, pulled the cord out
of the plug and threw the end of the cord at the top of the fence.
Drove about a mile, had to stop for a light and another car pulled up
next to me and yelled: "hey your dragging a long extension cord"
Instantly I knew what happened as I jumped out to retrieve the cord and
yelled back: "thanks, these damn electric pickups are a pita!"
coiled the cord, through it in the back of the truck. Light changed and
we drove off
but....You should have seen the look on his face.!
