[Antennas] Receiving Antenna

I am looking for suggestions for a receiving antenna.  I live on the 
typical 1/4 acre city lot but have 8 large Live Oak trees. Consequently, 
I have no place to put a tower and any sort of an elevated antenna is a 
real challenge.  I could use a small roof mounted beam but living in 
coastal FL I do not want to mount anything to the roof. I have a narrow 
strip of land on the side of the house and am using a ground mounted 
vertical antenna, Butternut HF6V, with a reasonable buried radial 
system.  It seems to preform reasonably for transmitting but receiving 
is another matter.

What might be some good ideas?
