[Antennas] Regarding WARC beam question

Dear All,

Thanks for all the good infos received from Dave-W4DN, Dale-KG5U, and
Don-K5MUF.
I will put together the whole antenna over the next couple of weeks and
check the overall SWR curve, in both WARC bands.
That will be the final confirmation regarding the tuning frequencies of
these traps.

Will report back after performing the above test with the beam pointing
vertical towards the sky.

Hi,

I have a question for the group, maybe somebody can help me out:
I am putting together a Cushcraft A3WS WARC beam, that I had in the
storage for a while. Before starting to assemble it, I did a quick check
of the resonance frequency of all the traps (all 6 are the same). I used
the grid-dip method, recommended while back for other Cushcraft beams,
like A3/A4.
This method was showing the resonance of the traps slightly below the
band they are supposed to do the job on!

For the A3WS traps I have dips somewhere between 23.0-23.2Mhz, sort of -
in pairs - two with two with two.
But these dips are about 1.5Mhz below the 12M bands, seems to me to far
away from the band!

Does anybody have any experience with these traps and their resonance
frequencies??

Any feedback will be appreciated.
