I don't think 60 feet of 2" pvc would be practical. I think it would bend,
bow and then fold and break while trying to raise it from horizontal.  Next
time you are in the local big box place grab a 20 ft. length of 2" pvc,
schedule 80 in the middle and give it a wiggle. It will probably swing 6-10
inches on each end...now multiply that by 3...

Have you though about 4" pvc instead? That "might" be ridged enough for 60
feet...You can paint it up to look like a small tree then...

I am planning to put up a RadioWorks Carolina Windom 160 this spring.  I am
going to mount it as an inverted Vee and I want to get the center support up
at least 60 feet.  I don't have any trees in the yard, and I also want the
center support to be plastic so that it won't interfere with the radiation
pattern of the antenna.  Has anyone had any experience using 2" diameter
schedule 80 pvc pipe for a support mast?  I am wondering if I used three 20
foot long sections and glued them together with standard couplings, if I
would be able to make a hinged base and walk the mast into position without
breaking it?  If I can get it vertical, I can guy it and it will be fine.
 I'm just not sure if I can raise it without breaking it.

Any feedback and ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.
