Yes. When I was attempting to match a modified commercial 2M beam, I
was originally going go with a Hairpin, but decided that a shorted 50
ohm stub was easier. It came out to be only bout 8.5" long and modeled
quite reliably with EZNec. One for 6M has to be no more than 24" long
and can be easily taped to the boom.
