That would be my definition.  Initially, the antenna has some SWR
bandwidth, over which the SWR is acceptably low.  After
"broadbanding", the bandwidth between which the SWR is acceptable, is
wider.

That wouldn't make sense to me, as a definition of "broadbanding".  If
you need to retune after a small frequency change, it means the
bandwidth was narrow.  Retuning, either the antenna itself or its
associated matching network, is a legitimate way of dealing with a
narrow bandwidth antenna, but could hardly be called broadbanding,
IMO.  The bandwidth is still narrow after retuning.
