Make your own.
It isn't easy and simple but I have done it.
Self adhesive Copper foil all over the rotor cover, soldered the seams,
jumper soldered to it in two places and the ends grounded to the block and
the firewall.
Double shielded braid with a Teflon liner over the ignition wire tack
soldered to the foil on the rotor cover. The plug ends are soldered to a
piece of copper pipe also lined with Teflon tube. Full ignition wire
shielding.
Multiple grounds from engine, radiator, hood, trunk, all exhaust tubing,
door jams, frame to chassis to engine all to battery negative. Large heavy
foil jumper from engine block/negative lead connection to frame and
firewall.
Like I said, its WORK but it can be done. And if you buy the very best
wiring and bonnets for both end of the ignition wire (Excel) you will not
have any problems with them for a long time. Try going to a Racing specialty
store. Sometimes the resistive wire is not stocked as often but usually they
will get you some if they don't have any. 8mm stuff. Big wire, Big Silicone
insulation, no loss in wire, no sparking to the ground shields, and with a
little luck, NO NOISE!
You still might have a problem with electric fuel pumps, fans, Alternator,
computer noise but at least the Pop, Pop, Pop from the wires should be gone.
Yes, I know, that much work for a 99 Blazer is probably not high on your
list of fun tasks, but after this one, you will be an expert!
Just be glad it isn't a FORD. I love my Ford F-150 and I am glad to see the
noise is much better than it was in my old Ranchero or Lincoln but it still
has noise.
Buy a Diesel when you need a new one. Problem solved. (Except for the fuel
pump and other noises in some cases.) ;>)
It will only cost you $700 a month for 7 years to solve the problem! Its
only money.
