Jim,

You hit the nail on the head. I am not avid VHF'er so I've never seen one of
them but a quick look at the Cushcraft website and the manual for a 2m Ringo
shows the exact thing I have. Too bad I don't have the rings to go with them.
I can fashion them if I wante to get on 6 and 2, which I do.

Thanks for the quick and correct reply.

Looks like part of a 2 meter and 6 meter Ringo less the ring at the bottom

I recently acquired some Cushcraft pieces and I am unsure of their original
intended use. I suspect they have been used as verticals or parts of verticals

since two of them have what appear to be guy wires attached. That said, they
look like they might have originally been half of a driven element of a dipole
or yagi. I put three pictures of them at the website below. Each one has two
SO-239 connectors. The center conductor of one of connector goes to the element

and with the ground connected to an aluminum housing that's insulated from the
element. The second SO-239 also has it's ground connected to the aluminum
housing but the center conductor goes nowhere.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and 73,
