Are you using crimp connectors? If not, you need to. Leave the AL shield as
is (cut back a little bit from the end is best...leave enough foam only
exposed to prevent shorting). Make sure you have the correct connectors for
the LMR-400...dont use normal PL259s used on RG8 sized coax.
