Remember, a 1/2wl dipole by design is NOT 50 ohms...it is 75 ohms Z.....and
if resonant, would be 75 ohm RESISTIVE..
To cut a dipole where it is 1:1 at 50 ohms means the antenna is NO longer
1/2wl...but IS 50 ohms resonant..If you WANT a true 1/2wl dipole, you WILL
see a 1.4:1 SWR at the lowest point.
