I've got an R7 and recently found there are at least 3 versions of the manual. The key, I think, Is in the capacitors at the traps. One version had straight tubes and the other had full U-shaped trombones. Compare the pics in the manual to what you have. Sorry I can't find them quickly right now, but you should be able to find them in a search. The dimensions ARE different. Seems like when I first put mine up one band didn't come out anywhere near what was printed in the manual. And that one was from Cushcraft's site, and was a very blurry scan. When I have a chance I need to dig those out and compare to my setup. Hope this helps a bit.

Subject: [Antennas] Cushcraft R7 tuning dimensions
Good evening,
I have the above subject antenna that I was given from a garage
sale. It was taken down already, so I researched and found a manual
copy online.
The scan quality however is very poor...poor enough that I can't
be sure of some of the dimensions listed. All the other online
manuals seem to be the same (lack of) quality.
If you have a good quality copy or an original, could someone
please confirm the lengths below. The letters correspond to the ones
used in Figure 5 (in step 3 of assembly).
Dimension 10 meters A - 123 inches
15 meters B - 15 5/8 inches
17 meters C - 6 inches (?)
20 meters D - 16 inches (?)
30 meters E - 16 inches (?)
40 meters F - 28 inches (CW)
22 inches (middle)
17 1/8 inches (phone)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Dennis
