We found by trial and error that when we ID ed the 40 meter transmitter the very same
voice identified the 70 cm output of the translator, we concluded that this was
satisfactory. We saw no output when we were not transmitting on 40.

We tested the translator with more power than was used in the test and we saw no
compression, the system is linear, there is no AGC anywhere in the test.

We do this sort of things at this club, we learn and we enjoy. The analyzer existed
and was in good operating order. Tony built the translator and Al built the receive antenna.
