I finally completed the testing and construction of a new form of
transmitting loop antenna. This version does not require the usual
high-voltage variable capacitor nor the gamma-match or Mini-Loop matching
element. The prototype tunes the entire 40M band and is suitable for power
levels up to 100W. Return loss is 20dB or better over the band. Power for
the motor that adjusts the variable capacitor is sent up the coaxial cable
feedline. The preliminary details are available at:

    http://www.home.earthlink.net/~christrask/Paper012.html

I will have the usual full details available before long.
