Richard,

NOALOX, Ox-Gard, Penetrox, Aluma-Guard, and similar products are intended
primarily to ensure good electrical contact in aluminum-to-aluminum joints
and terminal lugs.  Tiny, sharp-pointed zinc granules penetrate the aluminum
oxide surface layer-which is a poor conductor- while the greasy liquid
vehicle keeps out oxygen.  Although a copper-to-aluminum bond will no doubt
be improved by using this product, it will still come back to haunt you
eventually.

The only way to prevent dissimilar-metal corrosion is to prevent such
dissimilar metals from touching each other.  An intervening metal such as
silver, gold, tin, or some stainless steels will do the job.

Since you are using an M-Squared cable, perhaps you should contact M-Squared
for advice on proper termination methods.

Does anyone have experience using NOALOX in RF connectors?  I have been
manufacturing home made RF connectors to connect M Squared ridged hardline,
about 1 and 1/8th inch in OD with a 1/8th inch diameter center conductor to
RG-8 style/size RF cable.  These cables are used as long reach antenna feed
cables.  With very good success, I have been press fitting copper fitting
connectors on to the aluminum shield of the coaxial cable.  I have been
using NOALOX between the dissimilar metals.  Anybody have any suggestions,
better ideas, problems?
