Hello to all, I am new to the group.

Ok you antenna EZNEC nerds, I need help. I inhereted two 47uh antenna
coils (not traps) that are wound on ceramic forms 2 1/4 inch diameter.
The previous owner (now a SK) had marked on them "20-40M +25 inches"
so I put two 17ft sides of 14ga insulated wire on an insulator and
added the coils plus 25 inches. That tunes to 13.3mhz and 5.9mhz.
I adjusted the length to 30' 6" and 20 is now good for the entire band
with swr under 1.5 but now I will put the coils back on the ends. Kind
of odd that it had to be that short. I cannot recall ever having to
cut one that short for 20. The twist back on the end egg insulators
should not have any effect on length from my past experience. Hmmm.

I do not understand antenna software so if someone would plug these
specs into a program for me and see what comes up, I would sure
appreciate it. Just use a height of 18 feet (4 ft above the roof) as a
beginning. I could just do some cut and try but that is a pain even
with an antenna analyzer.

Thanks in advance and 73, Dick KF4NS
